Fonmap, Turkey’s most comprehensive fund platform, has secured $3 million in a seed investment round participated in by Turkcell New Technologies VCIF, Tera Venture Capital Investment Trust and RePie Asset Management. The mobile application, a first in Turkey, brings together venture capital, real estate and TEFAS funds under a single platform, providing investors with the broadest fund access.
Fonmap, the first mobile application to digitalize access to alternative investment funds in Turkey, has successfully completed its seed funding round, raising $3 million with the participation of Turkcell New Technologies Venture Capital Investment Fund (Turkcell Yeni Teknolojiler GSYF), Tera Venture Capital Investment Trust (Tera GSYO), and RePie Asset Management.
By offering SPK (Capital Markets Board of Turkey)-approved venture capital investment funds (VCIFs) and real estate investment funds (REIFs) through its mobile platform, Fonmap has introduced a first in the Turkish market. The app allows investors to access early-stage opportunities in potential unicorns as well as companies across sectors such as energy, fintech, and telecommunications, alongside high-yield real estate assets. In addition, Fonmap provides access to TEFAS mutual funds, making it the most comprehensive investment platform in Turkey with the widest range of funds available.

Liquidity Increased with Share Transfer in Alternative Funds
Fonmap has enhanced liquidity in REIFs and VCIFs, which are long-term funds of seven to ten years, through its share transfer feature. With this first-of-its-kind application in Turkey, users who wish to dispose of their portfolio funds either partially or entirely can sell their shares to other investors on Fonmap. In this way, shares in funds that have not yet reached maturity can be obtained by interested investors and added to their portfolios. This feature also makes funds that have been closed to issuance accessible once again and increases the liquidity of the market.
